The Christ Centered Church successfully hosted a two-day faith conference in Mzuzu from Saturday, 29 November to Sunday, 30 November 2025, under the theme “Waiting Upon the Lord”, drawn from Isaiah 40:31.
The conference attracted believers from Mzuzu City and surrounding areas and was aimed at encouraging the body of Christ to remain steadfast in faith, trust, and hope in God despite the challenges faced as the year drew to a close.
Speaking after the conference, the host and lead pastor of Christ Centered Church, Very Reverend Davie Chingamu Mzunga, said the gathering was intended to spiritually uplift believers during difficult times.

“As we approached the end of the year, many people were going through tough situations that tested their faith. This conference was meant to remind believers that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and should never lose hope in Him,” said Rev. Mzunga.
He added that the conference provided a platform for prayer, worship, and spiritual renewal, encouraging Christians to continue trusting God regardless of their circumstances.
Meanwhile, Reverend W. Silumbu, the Vice Chairperson of the Mzuzu Pastors Fraternal for the Mchenga-Utuba Zone, officially declared the conference open on the first day.
The conference featured Pastor Peter Chauma, a pastor at Redeemed Church, who served as the guest preacher. His messages focused on perseverance, patience, and unwavering faith while waiting upon God.
The event was held at Mbachenda Gardens, located opposite Macro House, behind Best Oil Filling Station in Mzuzu. Activities began at 1:00 PM on Saturday and continued on Sunday morning from 9:00 AM.
Christ Centered Church has since described the conference as a success and expressed gratitude to all participants, ministers of the Gospel, and members of the public who attended the event.
