Police in Chikwawa have arrested Andsen Tembo, 57, for allegedly raping his housemaid.
Chikwawa Police Publicist, Dickson Matemba, said an 18-year-old girl (name withheld) was working in the house of the accused as a maid and was staying in the same house. On 24 November 2021, during the night, the accused entered the girl’s bedroom and raped her before giving her K10,000 to shut her up.
“Next morning after the incident, the victim reported the matter to her aunt and they came to Chikwawa Police Station where a medical form was given to the victim for medical examination at Chikwawa District Hospital and results indicated that the girl was raped,” said Matemba.
