BM sofa Designs and General dealers has vowed in paying fees worthy K232,000 to Tione Chilembo a form one student.
The development comes hours after Winnie Nyondo wrote on her Facebook page requesting well wishers to assist the said student who was reportedly failing to report for classes after being selected from Mzokoto Primary school to study at St Mary’s Karonga secondary school, due to lack of financial support.
It is with this background that BM sofa Designs director, Dr Peter Kasewe and his management team offered to start paying one term school fees and Uniform for the student inclusive until she finalises her secondary studies.
Today, the 10th of January 2023. BM Sofa Design has paid in full the said fees through the schools national bank account number 1003049608 (attached with deposit slip.)
“We responded to the call for assistance from Winnie Nyondo’s Facebook page, where the young girl could hardly afford quality education. As we also represent Malawians and feel the pain of a girl child striving to enjoy her right to education. We are therefore also obliged to offer back to Malawians by protecting the girl child’s rights. We will be paying Tione’s fees until she finalises her secondary education, that is from Form one to form 4.” Said Dr Kasewe in an interview
