The Christ-Centered Church hosted a transformative two-day Revival Conference at Mbachenda Gardens in Mzuzu from October 26 to 27, 2024. This gathering brought together individuals from various backgrounds, creating a vibrant atmosphere of faith, fellowship, and community service.

The conference featured Bishop Larry Ruwona, the church’s founder and a distinguished leader from the United Kingdom, as the keynote speaker. Bishop Ruwona addressed a wide range of topics related to the church’s mission and the importance of maintaining a focus on Jesus Christ. He urged attendees to center their lives around their faith in Christ, emphasizing that this foundation is essential for addressing the challenges facing modern congregations.

During his address, Bishop Ruwona articulated the mission of the church: to guide individuals toward eternal life by fostering a deeper connection with Jesus. He encouraged the audience to build a community anchored in Christian values and mutual support, highlighting that a Christ-centered life offers strength and clarity amid life’s uncertainties.

Pastor Davie Mzunga, who oversees the Northern Region of the church, hosted the conference and warmly welcomed participants. He reiterated the event’s purpose, which was not only to renew spiritual commitments but also to inspire charitable actions within the community. Pastor Mzunga emphasized the church’s dedication to serving those in need, demonstrating faith through tangible acts of kindness.

The conference included worship sessions, inspirational teachings, and opportunities for attendees to engage in meaningful discussions. Many participants expressed their gratitude for the chance to gather, share their experiences, and deepen their understanding of faith.

In a significant addition to the conference, Dr. Joy Ruwona, Bishop Ruwona’s wife, introduced a new outreach initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable populations, particularly women and orphans. Dr. Ruwona explained that this program seeks to extend the church’s compassion to those facing hardships in the community.

The outreach initiative will focus on providing essential resources, emotional support, and empowerment to individuals in need, aiming to promote dignity and self-sufficiency. By reaching out to these vulnerable groups, the church hopes to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

As the conference concluded, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose, inspired to deepen their faith and actively engage in community service. Many remarked on the event’s impact, noting it served as a powerful reminder of the importance of living a faith-driven life filled with generosity and compassion.
