68% Passrate recorded on Junior Certificate examinations

The Malawi National Examination Board-MANEB has released results for this year’s Junior Certificate Examination.

According to the results, 3. Out of the 154,495 candidates who sat for the examination,
112,897 have passed.

This represents 73.07% pass rate.
Out of the 77,484 female candidates who sat for this
examination, 56,056 have passed.

This represents 68.47%pass
rate

The top eleven highest performing schools with 100% pass rate
and a high percentage of candidates who scored As and Bs are, in descending order:

Chaminade Marianist Pvt (82%),

Ludzi Girls (81%)

The bottom ten (10) performing districts, in ascending order are:

According to the results Phalombe is the highest performing district.
