The Electricity Generation Company (Egenco) has announced that 100MW of power had been restored to the national grid after the completion of repair works on a damaged bypass pipe at Nkula B Power House.
The damage is said to have resulted into prolonged blackouts, lasting up to 17 hours or more in the country.
Egenco had projected that the repair works, which commenced on Thursday, December 15, would be completed on Monday, December 19.
But in a statement, the company said as of 12:13pm today, four machines were back online and they expected to have all the five machines back online by the end of today making the power supply coming to normal.
