The Mzuzu District Football Association organized a prize ceremony for the Mzuzu Football FAM league 2023 on March 12, 2024, at the Sports Council Offices.
Sonda United FC, who won the championship, received a trophy, medals, and K1 million. Moyale Barracks Reserve FC, the runners-up, were awarded K400 thousand and medals. Dairy MK Academy FC, securing third place, took home K200 thousand.
The top scorer, Dickson Gondwe from Chicago FC, earned K50 thousand for scoring 12 goals.
After the event, Alphack Mkandawire from the Mzuzu District Football Association General Secretary praised the journey and the disciplined teams, except for Blue Sport FC, which showed poor discipline.
Mkandawire also announced that the under-23 league for the year might begin in May 2024. He cautioned teams against fielding players over 23 years old, stating that such players would not be allowed in the upcoming tournament.
