The Mzuzu District Football Association has today honored the champions of the Castel Challenge Cup, Hilltop FC, in a prize presentation ceremony held at the Sports Council Hall in Mzuzu.
Hilltop FC, crowned as the champions, walked away with K1 million as their reward. The runners-up, Bwabwa FC, received K300,000, while Lupaso Plutonium FC, who finished in third place, were awarded K200,000.

Moffat Kapira, an official of Hilltop FC, expressed his joy after the prize presentation, stating that the money had come at the perfect time. He added that the team recently qualified for the round of 32 in the Castel Challenge Cup after a resounding 5-0 victory against Chanthomba FC.
Kapira further emphasized that the prize money would be crucial in preparing for their upcoming match against Baka City FC in the next round of the competition.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the Mzuzu District Football Association, Alphack Mkandawire, commended Hilltop FC for their impressive performance and qualification for the round of 32.
Mkandawire highlighted that Hilltop FC’s success has brought pride to the entire district and the association. He assured the team of continued support as they proceed in the competition.

Both teams are now looking ahead to their future matches, with Hilltop FC eager to build on their momentum and make further progress in the Castel Challenge Cup.
