In a startling incident, a light plane crash has taken place near Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe during the afternoon hours of Tuesday. The aircraft, carrying an instructor and a student pilot, crashed due to engine failure, as confirmed by Acting Director of Civil Aviation, Samuel Kalua.
The two occupants of the plane, identified as the instructor and the student pilot, were fortunate to escape with minor injuries. They have received medical treatment as outpatients at Lumbadzi Health Centre.
