The conflict between Israel and Iran continues to intensify, with Iran launching missiles into Israel, resulting in the deaths of three people.
According to reports from Al Jazeera and Reuters, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 78 people in Iran and injured more than 320 others so far.
On Friday, Israel targeted sites in Iran, claiming to have destroyed nuclear facilities. Several senior military officials were also reportedly killed in the strikes.
In retaliation, Iran launched its own missile attacks today. However, according to Reuters, Israel reported that fewer than 100 missiles were fired, with most intercepted before reaching their targets.
Israel’s Security Minister, Israel Katz, condemned Iran for targeting civilian areas and warned that the country would face consequences. In response, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, accused Israel of instigating war.
Meanwhile, former U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran could avoid further Israeli attacks if it stopped developing dangerous nuclear weapons.
Both the United States and Israel insist they will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons, which they view as a serious threat to global security.
