Nigerian Jailed For Trafficking A Malawian To Brazil

Senior Resident Magistrate in LL, Shyreen Yona Chirwa has convicted and sentenced to 10 years Imprisonment with Hard Labour Alex Ojukua, a Nigerian national who facilitated a trip to Brazil of a Malawian Riyard Randeree who died in that countryโ€ฆdue to drugs he swallowed to beat the security system.

Ojokua , 60, hails from Imo State in Nigeria, he will serve a jail term for the offense of trafficking in persons contrary to Section 14(1) of the Trafficking in Persons.

State Prosecutor in the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Eunice Ndingo told the court that between April and May 2018 in Area 47, Ojokua trafficked 20 year old Randeree and flew him to Brazil with dangerous drugs.

Ndingo told the court that the accused person made the victim swallow the drugs before escorting him to KIA.

She further said that the trafficked person died in Brazil due to the drugs he had swallowed.
