President Dr Lazarus Chakwera will on Thursday, March 11, preside over the official COVID-19 vaccine roll out at Zomba COVID-19 Field Hospital, Office of the President and Cabinet has announced.
The Zomba COVID-19 Field Hospital is premised at Zomba State House.
The function is expected to start at 11:00 Hours.
The Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima will preside over a similar event at Mzuzu COVID-19 Field Hospital located within Mzuzu Central Hospital from 12:30 Hours.
Avantmalawi gathers that the President will be joined by the First lady madame Monica Chakwera, His Lord Andrew Nyirenda, S.C Chief justice, Minister of health Khumbize Kandodo, Ms Maria Torres – the United systems coordinator, Prof. Mark Malewa, Principal of College of medicine, Mrs Watipaso Kasambara – Frontline Health workers, Paramount Chief Kawinga and Vice President of Public Affairs Committee (PAC.)
At both functions, COVID-19 preventive measures will be adhered to.
