Sand Music Festival started yesterday night at Nkopola Lodge in Salima.
Artists are expected to line up today but yesterday, renowned Disc Jockeys sent the fun lovers in thrills as they outclassed each other turning the tables.
Patronage to the music carnival looks promising as more people are still trickling in.
SandFest is back in Mangochi, after 8 years as for the past 6 years the festival has been taking place in Salima.
Renowned South African singer Makhadzi gave out a spirited performance on the opening day of the three day Sand Music Festival at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi District.
She offered a one-hour act that excited the audience.
Supported by two female and two male dancers, she performed with energy as the international headliner for Friday.
She shared the stage with acts such as Piksy, Saint, Kell Kay, Malceba as well as Edgar ndi Davis.
The festival runs until Sunday with Jamaica’s Gramps and Nigeria’s Mr P performing on the second day.
