MORE IN LIFE THAN POLITICS

While BICC Square was the venue for National Day of prayer to commemorate Malawi’s 58 years of independence. Same in Lilongwe city, CIVO Stadium hosted the Ufulu Festival which was free of charge.

This year’s Ufulu festival was colourful where aerobics, children Games and music performances spiced the event were witnessed by hundreds of spectators.

Eli Njuchi, Faith Mussa, Suffix and Beracah were among the artists that were engaged in entertaining the Malawians at Civo stadium.

“Sin introduced us to worldly material gains, we were blinded and danced to politics. However, being independent is a sign of a free mind, a heart free from sin, a mind that is not driven by politicians. On independence days like these let’s immulate to fight for freedom, let’s divert from sin, being controlled by politicians on what to think or how to live. Let’s seek for salvation and endeavour in various profit adventures life offers.” Pastor Yamikani Kalizang’oma said when addressing hundreds of people who were present at Ufulu Festival.

In the hunger of celebrating freedom, creativity and culture a lot of musicians were encouraged to sustain peoples happiness through art.

The Festival is happening after a two year break due to Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.
