Some gospel artists in the country have organised a show this coming Sunday, 23 May at Mangochi CCAP Hall inorder to raise funds that will help their friend, Phoebe Banda Chisanthi, who requires immediate medical attention in South Africa.
Chisanthi, 32, is a Christian at Mangochi CCAP Church and she is also a gospel artist, who recently went into stardom after releasing her 10-track album (Compact Disk-CD) called Dalitsani Malawi.
However, as fate would have it, the stardom in her, met a purge few months after releasing the CD as she developed biliary stricture, a brokage between liver and gall bladder.
Her plight has not only robbed her of her melodic singing, but it has also affected her economic life.
Her situation has prompted the gospel artist to offer a helping hand by organising the show.
The artists include: Favoured Martha, Ethel Kamwendo Banda, Princess Chitsulo, Eliza Mponya, Miracle Chinga, Phyless Mang’anda, Walusungu Kishombe, Martha Mituka, Michael Kasito, Wezzie Kayira Madzi and many others.
In an interview, one of the artists, Princess Chitsulo said as artists they can not seat and watch their friend battling with life that is why they came together in organising the show inorder to bail he out.
Chitsulo then appealed to fans around Mangochi to come in large numbers inorder to help Chisanthi.
The show is pegged at K3000 per head.
According to Chisanthi she needs about K35 Million for her condition to be treated in South Africa. Good Samaritans can reach Chisanthi on 0881 626 725/ 0991 343 088.
