Earlier in the week Mikonzi ressurects Mphungu Joseph Mkasa’s music, in their Mikonzi Studios.
Veteran singer and songwriter Joseph Nkasa has once again proved that he has predatory instincts in front of the mic having left the audience with an insatiable appetite for his tunes.
Mkasa as a local-popular Musician who is still loved by a lot of Malawians dropped a 12 minutes Video. In the video, a mixed bag of songs goes encouraging souls of the poor and those that lost hope, one-way or the other.
However, the last part of the video, he sang a song that touched hearts of Malawians. As it is a reminder to the former President Dr Bakili Muluzi who owns unfulfilled Promise to Joseph Mkasa.
In the quotted promise, Bakili Muluzi during his presidency, narrated how amazed he was with the way Mkasa sang his songs and later promised to give him a car. A thing which Atcheya (Muluzi) went joking without taking into consideration that Mkasa took it to heart.
Fast forward, Atcheya did not fulfil his Promise, and a decade after the presidency, his Promise still hunts him.
Today, alot of Malawians are sharing the song and calling on Atcheya to fulfill his Promise.
Will Atcheya succumb to the call during his old age?
_Anamva aaaa anamva, anamva Mtunda ukufotokoza. Anamvaa aaa anamva. Anamva Zonsezi._
It goes the chorus, leaving the audience hungry for more
