Seven Seven FC triumphed in a dramatic finale, defeating Power Dynamos FC 2-1 to secure the championship title at the prestigious 1 Million Avant Publications Top Ten Bonanza. The tournament was hosted in Mtakataka constituency, Dedza East.
In the third-place playoff, Arsenal FC edged out Mzuni FC 4-3 in a tense penalty shootout after a 1-1 stalemate in regulation time.
The grand finale took place at the Mkosini Resource Centre ground in Dedza, where Seven Seven FC displayed remarkable skill and determination. The champions were rewarded with a trophy and a cash prize of K200,000 for their outstanding performance.

Innocent Mvundula, Director of Avant Publications, expressed his gratitude to all participating teams during a phone call from the United States. He reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to nurturing rural talent, stating, “Avant Publications is dedicated to unearthing hidden talent and providing a platform for players to shine. We aim to collaborate with FAM, NAM, and other stakeholders to further develop local talent through such initiatives.”
Co-Director Jambo Jedegwa also commended the organizers and the steering committee for their efforts, pledging to expand similar competitions to schools. He revealed Avant Publications’ plans to sponsor a girls’ football team in the area, resources permitting, aligning with the vision of the current FAM and NAM leadership.
