Following the promotion of Rumphi United FC into a lit league well known Super League of Malawi.
Rumphi district council is speeding to wind up the construction of Rumphi Stadium before commencement of the coming Super League season.
Rumphi United FC, nicknamed the Leopards is expected to use Rumphi stadium as their home ground, unlike what has been happening in the past, whereby the team was going to mzuzu stadium or Karonga stadium and claimed to be its home ground.
According to football history of Rumphi district, Rumphi United FC is and will be the first to enter and participate in the Super League.
Football fans from Rumphi are pleased and they are expecting to see their own home team playing in the Super League.
