PHIRI POWER’S SIMBI YAMOTO TO GLORY

Simbi Yamoto FC have been officially crowned champions of the 2025/2026 FAZ Eastern Province Division Two Zone B after a highly impressive and dominant season that saw them rise above all their competitors. The team’s consistent performances throughout the campaign have secured them the title even before the final round of matches, confirming their superiority in the league.

The Malawian coach Harold Phiri has been the mastermind behind the club’s success, guiding the team with discipline, tactical strength, and strong leadership. Under his guidance, Simbi Yamoto FC have shown remarkable improvement, turning into a well-organized and competitive side capable of controlling matches and collecting crucial points throughout the season.

With a total of 72 points from 33 matches, Simbi Yamoto FC have built an unassailable lead at the top of the table, making it mathematically impossible for other teams to catch them. This achievement has also secured the club a historic promotion to Division One, marking an important milestone in their football journey.

Despite already being crowned champions, Simbi Yamoto FC still have one remaining fixture to complete their season. They are set to host third-placed Police Bullets FC at home in a match that still carries competitive importance, especially for their opponents who are chasing playoff ambitions.

Speaking from Zambia, coach Harold Phiri expressed pride in his players, praising their commitment, hard work, and determination that has carried them throughout the season. He noted that the team has shown strong character and confidence, which has been key to their successful campaign.

Phiri further emphasized that even though the title has already been secured, the team remains focused on finishing the season in a professional manner. He stated that they will approach their final match with seriousness and aim to end the campaign in style in front of their supporters.

Alongside Simbi Yamoto FC, runners-up Similing Kids have also secured promotion to Division One after a strong season. Meanwhile, Police Bullets FC will now depend on the outcome of Sunday’s match to determine their chances of qualifying for the playoffs, making the final fixture still highly significant for them.
