With the Raiply National Volleyball Tournament just around the corner, all roads lead to the Katoto Volleyball Courts and Rosedale Courts in Mzuzu from November 9 to 12, 2023. In an exclusive interview with Avant Sports Desk, Ronald Mwale, the Chairperson of the Northern Region Volleyball League, expressed his unwavering belief in the teams representing the Northern Region. He confidently stated that these teams are not just ready but also in prime condition to take on the nation’s best.
A team that has consistently waved the flag for the Northern Region is Moyale Volleyball, a powerhouse that has represented the region for numerous years. This year, they are on a mission to ensure that the championship trophy remains firmly in their grasp. With the kind of dedication and skill seen in Northern Region teams, their aspirations could very well become a reality.
The Northern Region will be strongly represented, with four teams participating in each gender category. This demonstrates the depth of talent and passion for the sport within the region.
The competition is fierce, and the rewards are enticing. The victorious team will be bestowed with a handsome cash prize of K1,250,000, providing a significant incentive for the participating teams. Meanwhile, the runners-up will not leave empty-handed, receiving K600,000, and the third-place team will walk away with K300,000.
