MARINICA CERTAIN OF A WIN GAME AS CHIUKEPO PARTNER GABADINHO

Malawi National Football team, *The Flames* Coach Mario Marian Marinica has called all Malawians to support the team on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Speaking to the media in pre-match presser this morning in the capital city of Malawi, Lilongwe. The Romanian tactician, who takes charge of the team after replacing Meck Mwase, said he looks forward to his debut.

“I have much expectations ahead of the game against Ethiopia national football team this coming Sunday. Playing against *The Walias* is a daunting task given the fact that we share a tight win to loose history in the past. But I can confirm that Bingu National Stadium is in good condition and has a good capacity to accommodate  large viewership.” Flames coach said.

Marinica confirmed acceptance of a year contract of coaching the Flames and has assured Malawians he is confident of taking the team to high standard of heights in the soccer world.

Chiukepo excited to play against Walias

Speaking to our reporters, Malawi’s vice captain, John CJ Banda, said home ground advantage will be the first priority the players will bank on to defeat The Walias. He further assured Malawians that the Flames will vow to win at home than a draw game.

In his words, flames striker Gabadinho Mhango, the flames striker encouraged Malawians to watch the game and has much confidence of a 2 goals victory against The Walias.

The former Orlando Pirates marksman thanked the Romanian tactician for trusting him to deliver.

The walias coach ‘Webentu Abante’

Chiukepo said: “I am here because the coach has trust in me that I can deliver. I am grateful for that. All I can say is that this is a great opportunity for me and I will not disappoint the technical panel.”

Chiukepo is expected to partner Gabadinho Mhango, who has just joined AmaZulu after parting ways with Pirates.

Whereas, the Walias coach, Webetu Abante, says playing The Flames will not be an easy task as the Flames gained much support from the previous AFCON game.

“Yes the Flames play well, and we watched them at AFCON last year.” Abante emphasised.

“We started preparing for a tough game way back through friendly games. We have maximised our knowledge and efforts for victory against the flames” he added.

The Flames have so far defeated the Walias 4 goals to zero in friendly matches and has a history of three draws.
