Chitipa United FC managed to beat Malawi’s major football teams namely; Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets FC.

Today, on July 1, 2023, the team has shared points with the current Super League leader, Silver Strikers FC after the game which they played ended goalless.

From landom interviews conducted by Avant Publications, some football fans in the country have praised Hon Chimwendo Banda for his gesture. Saying “this will motivate Chitipa United FC players.” Adding that “the team deserves such a massive consideration.”

During the beginning of the league, Chitipa United FC was categorised as one of the minor teams, by the majority of football fans.

But the fact is that the Chitipa United FC has turned out to be a slippery terrain where big teams have failed to make their ways to victory.
