Big Bullets and Wanderers Secure Key Signings for 2023 Season

Ahead of the 2023 football season, two powerhouse teams based in Blantyre, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, have secured their first signings. Notably, both teams focused on bolstering their midfield, with Big Bullets acquiring Flames Midfielder, Lloyd Banega Aaron, previously with Civil Service United, while Wanderers brought in Blessings Singini, the Captain of Ekwendeni Hammers.

The People’s Team reportedly invested MK10 Million to secure the services of the highly-rated defensive midfielder, Banega, bringing him to Blantyre. On the other hand, the Nomads sealed the deal with Singini for an undisclosed fee.

During the unveiling ceremony in Blantyre, Banega, a 22-year-old talent, expressed his eagerness to join the Red-attired side, emphasizing his aspirations of winning trophies and participating in the Caf Champions League. He cited the club’s interest and the opportunity to play in the Champions League as decisive factors in his move.

Sugzo Nyirenda, Bullets’ Chief Executive Officer, had previously disclosed the team’s intentions to make significant signings during the upcoming transfer window. The aim is to strengthen the squad for international competition, with ambitions set on reaching the group stages of the Champions League.

Banega, a key player in Patrick Mabedi’s Flames, had showcased his skills at the 2023 Cosafa Cup games held in South Africa, earning him recognition and a spot in the starting lineup. The strategic signings align with the teams’ visions of success both domestically and on the international stage.
