PTC’s TAFIKA HOLDINGS DEAL FLOPS

Reports are emerging that the purported takeover of People’s Trading Centre (PTC) Shops by a South African based Tafika Holdings has flopped following the withdrawal of the funder of the project.

Unconfirmed reports indicated to Avant Publication that the PTC sale was not completed as it was indicated in the Press Statement released in March by the Conglomerate Press Corporation Plc as no money exchanged hands.

An inside source has revealed that there is no any activity since the takeover announcement made on the 16th of March this year.

Currently empty shelves continue to grace all the over 20 People’s Shops with no hope of any stock coming soon.

Earlier this year Tafika Holdings together with the Press Corporation Plc announced that it has acquired 100% shares in the oldest retail shop in the country with a promise to invest and install state of the art equipment in all PTC stores, improve the ambience and to also ensure that the stores provide fresh products at all times in a healthy and safe environment.
