MALAWI POST CORPORATIONS FUEL’S WORKERS ANGER

Avantmalawi has confirmed a business closure at Lilongwe Post Office, the national strike started this morning where unsatisfied workers are demanding salary increment, pension remittance and also salary delays.

The sit in means, no operation of courier services, postal services are suspended.

Speaking to avantmalawi reporters one of the workers confided that LL main Post Office has not been paying it’s workers for a period of two months now. On top of salary delays workers have been earmarked for retrenchment. A snap survey has shown that the workers have been fighting for betterment but it has proved futile.
Currently, Post Office is closed.

In efforts to talk to the corporations publicity she puts it that the corporation has been struggling with financial insufficiencies which are currently being worked on as the corporation is undergoing reforms.

Meanwhile, there are still misunderstanding at Lilongwe Post office premises, where workers are protesting as per attached communication in posters
