Vice president who is also the leader of United Transformation Movement (UTM) has warned Tonse alliance partners to stop boosting and castigating each other as they made the victory together.
Chilima has shot the warning at Karonga ‘boma’ where he held a short rally.
“People voted for us as Tonse alliance, the alliance should move as we agreed not the other way around,” Said Chilima.
“Let us remember where we are coming from, let us not forget 23 June because God answered the prayers of all of us not few individuals.”
Chilima was on his knees when he appealed for unity in the alliance.
This is the first time for the veep to speak out highly charged since Tonse alliance assumed power in June last year.
The warning comes at a time when rumors have rocked the nation that some divisions have rocked Tonse alliance where some MCP high officials are accused of boosting that they are the ones at the helm.
Recently Aford’s Jeremiah Chihana told Rainbow television that MCP is full of greedy individuals and that they do not recognize some alliance partners.
On NEEF loans, the vice president agrees with the President to allow Neef loans benefit Malawians and not a few individuals from selective Political parties.
Dr Chilima assured malawians that all the promises made by Tonse alliance will be delivered, he added that if there was no Covid19 pandemic malawians could have started smiling from the fruits of Tonse alliance.
