Police in Ntchisi have arrested two men for cultivating Cannabis Sativa without license.Spokesperson for Ntchisi police Richard Mwakayoka Kaponda, confirmed the arrest and identified the two as 37 years-old Rabson Golomati and 23 year-old Gladys Crifford. He said on April 15, 2021, police received a tip from well wishers that the two were cultivating Cannabis Sativa. Following up the tip, police managed to seize about 1,325 plants. Kaponda said seized illicit crop will be taken to Chitedze Research Station for analysis. The two suspects will soon appear in court once investigations are complete. Rabson Golomati and Gladys Crifford hail from Nkhudzi village in the area of Traditional Authority Kalumo in the district.
