CHAKWERA, TOO SLOW TO DELIVER – NEW CABINET DELAYED

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says he is scrutinising Cabinet assessment reports that have been submitted by Vice President Dr Saulos Chilima before he reshuffles the current Cabinet, State House Press Office announces in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement, signed by Presidential Press Secretary Brian Banda, says the Cabinet assessment reports have been submitted to his office for final review.

“Given that the reports are as substantial as the President’s review is thorough, the completion of the task will take a few more days longer than anticipated.

“Even so, the President is now fully seized of the matter and will release his Cabinet the instant he completes this sacred duty in a manner that conforms with the Constitution,” reads the statement in part.

According to the statement the exercise seeks to ensure that Malawians are given the best delivery of service by the appointed Ministers.

The President, through the statement, convey thanks to all Malawians for exercising patience as he carries out this process and trusting him to decide what Cabinet is right for Malawi which will be communicated in due time.

The Development which left Malawians murmuring, as one of the whistle blowers Onjezani Kenani writes on his Facebook page that the Chakwera adminstration is way too compromised to meet deadlines after they Promise Malawians a release of Cabinet in the first quarter of the year of 2021, received a lot of backing in the comment section from people who thinks Chakwera is taking Malawians for granted for a delay in reshuffling the cabinet in time
