When casting his Vote Chizuzu thanked Nsanje north for the support that they have been rendering during campaign period. “I thank all the Chiefs, voters not forgetting Madam Abida Mia deputy minister of lands and all the honorable law makers for taking me this far, I have strong faith that I will win”.
Most voters in Nsanje north are observing Covid19 preventive measures as they cast their vote, a snap survey done by our reporters shows the Malawi Electoral commission (MEC) has provided face masks to the needy voters in Nsanje north.
Assan Chande a presiding officer at Chinyanje school polling center said almost all voters are as well washing hands through the voting process.
Willie Malimba, another presiding officer but stationed at Fatima CDSS said the voters are required to practice social distance.
Two people are vying for the position of Member of Parliment for Nsanje north.
These are: Esther Mcheka Chilenje of Dpp, Enock Chizuzu of MCP and Patrick Bande who withdraw from the contest due to personal reasons.
The Constituency has 32,554 registered voters
