The newly appointed Commissioner of Police responsible for Central West Region (CWR), Mr Richard Luhanga, today February 16, 2021 made an impromptu visit to Kawale Police Station.
In his short visit , the Commissioner urged the officers to be result-oriented and contended when discharging their duties.
He explained that for Central West Region to be a winning team in its activities, it is about team work, calling on everyone to rise up as a winning team.
Furthermore, the Commissioner emphasised on the need to put much focus on crime prevention strategies.
“When you patrol the area ,you invisibly prevent crime which is not noticed by many but yet it is another big achievement made towards the reduction of crime within the region.” said Luhanga.
He then stressed on intensifying foot patrols and strategic points as it helps in police visibility.
Thereafter, the Commissioner had time with middle managers and advised them to work cohesively with the Officer in charge.
In his familiarization tour, the Commissioner also took time to visit Kawale lower formations of area 23 and area 24 Police units.
All Covid-19 preventive measures were followed during the meeting.
