Today, the Parliamentary Women Caucus, represented by Honorable Members for Chikwawa West and Mwanza West, Hon Susan Dossi and Hon Joyce Chitsulo, respectively, visited a woman who sustained burning wounds currently admitted at Madisi Mission Hospital in Dowa district.
The incident occurred on 14/02/2021 around 1900hrs at Madisi trading center in the district.Her husband who is a motor cycle taxi operator came back home from his business and found no lights in the house.He then kicked the pot that was on the Mbaula which contained boiled water and poured on his wife.
Therefore as Female MPs, they decided to take action and have pledged to fully support her and foot all the hospital bills.
