Condemnation on Mchiragule Mwanza and an apology to Onjezani Kenani and the entire social media members
It has come to the attention of us the Social media branch of Malawi Congress Party media team under the Publicity Directorate that a pseudo called Mchiragule Mwanza is masquarading as an MCP agent threatening journalists and people who disagree with some few things this administration is doing.
We at MCP want to assure journalists and all Malawians that MCP, our President and the Tonse Alliance in general, take issues of free speech seriously as such we would be the last to trample on the very rights that we believe in.
Let it be known that the pseudo Mchiragule Mwanza is not sanctioned by anyone in MCP, infact our Chewa supporters find the use of Mchira gule as offensive as it has offenseve connotations towards Gulewamkulu.
After noticing the attack on Onjezani Kenani, we involved our IT experts who have attempted to track this pseudo and the numbers used are the same used to access My Malawi my Views and other DPP social media groups. The very same numbers logged into Facebook as Raymond Chikoko last on 16 January 2020.
Pseudos or Zigoba as mentioned on social media is an art mastered by DPP. We are well aware of the 18th February 2020 meeting that took place at Malawi Post office conference room,and then another follow up meeting on 26 July 2020 at Malawi Housing Corporation board room in which one of the DPPs strategy for social media was agreed to create so many aliases that will appear pro MCP in nature with the sore purpose of eroding the goodwill the new government has so far enjoyed. If you might properly check on Mchiragule Mwanza, his existence falls within these period DPP had strategic meetings on how they should divide and rule among the Tonse Alliance partners
We at MCP, assure all Journalists in general, and Onjezani Kenani in particular,that we appreciate and take the criticism as friendly advise that may help to keep this government on track as fourth estate for the benefit of all Malawians. Let no one intimidate you using our name, as MCP, when we feel like offended through opinions by other personalities, we speak without even hiding behind any pseudo.
As you might have seen some of our social media team members reacted to an opinion which came through one of the papers by Ephraim Munthali, it was an opinion trying to tarnish our leader’s image, and an opinion must be given a test of an opinion too as the freedom of expression is given to anyone in our Malawi Constitution which is the Supreme law of this land.
We sincerely apologize to our comrade Onjezani Kenani for the attack by this pseudo masquerading as MCP agent, and MCP strongly disassociates itself from this Mchiragule Mwanza because a true MCP supporter who loves our president can not attack any individual while putting up profile picture of our president.
