Police in Kawale have arrested a 27-year-old man Joseph Jackson for allegedly robbing a shop owner at Chipasula bridge in Area 22, Lilongwe.
The filed report, indicates that the victim Yamikani Andrea, owns a shop at Kaliyeka, selling electronic gadgets.
Further the report indicates that on May 5, 2026 around 22:00 hours the suspect attacked the shop owner as he was retiring from his daily errands.
During the attack the suspects took away the following items; one HP Laptop, Techno spark 40, Itel A1000 C, Huawei P40, Techno Spark 30, Techno POP 8 and external Laptop Keyboard. All valued at K5.2 million.
Meanwhile, Police have recovered all the stolen items that have been positively identified by the victim.
In terms of origin,Joseph Jackson hails from Mtsiliza Village, Traditional Authority Njewa in Lilongwe.
