TRANSPORT WOES OVER AS EKWAIWENI TSA GETS SUPPORT

By Staff Reporter

Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy FC has received a fresh boost through the support of the Ekwaiweni Tafika Youth Organization. This development brings renewed hope and energy to a team that has faced several challenges over the years.

One of the most pressing issues the team has faced is transport, particularly when traveling to and from matches. For a long time, they struggled to meet their fixtures due to a lack of reliable transportation. But today, the team is singing a different song after receiving a well-conditioned coaster bus.

The Ekwaiweni Tafika Youth Organization has expressed deep gratitude to the Zambia Malawi Community Partnership (ZMCP) and Banana Box for their vital role in making the bus available. The donation marks a major turning point in the academy’s operations and mobility.

“We are very happy to receive this bus. It will ease our transport costs, especially when traveling long distances for matches,” said Mr. Shupo Kumwenda, Director of the Ekwaiweni Tafika Youth Organization.

Mr. Kumwenda further expressed appreciation to ZMCP and Banana Box, emphasizing that while this is a great achievement, it is only the beginning of what the organization hopes to accomplish.

Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy FC, which plays in the Northern Region Premier League, recently kicked off its campaign with a 1-1 draw against their arch-rivals, Ekwendeni Hardknockers, in a thrilling home match that drew a large crowd.

The game was played at Ngazi Ground on Saturday, 21st June 2025, marking the start of the football season.

With a youthful and determined squad, Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy FC is now looking ahead with confidence. The arrival of the coaster bus has not only brought relief but has also sparked new hope for greater accomplishments both on and off the pitch.
