Silver Strikers FC has appointed Peter Mgangira as interim head coach following the resignation of Sir Peter Mponda, who stepped down for personal reasons.
Mgangira, a club legend and former assistant coach, will lead the team until a permanent replacement is secured. His contract includes a monthly salary of 5 million kwacha, a vehicle, free fuel, and a housing allowance.
Sir Peter Mponda leaves the club after a highly successful stint in the TNM Super League, where he guided Silver Strikers to clinch a 100-million-kwacha trophy. Notably, before his departure, Mponda personally recommended Mgangira to take on the caretaker role.
