NOCMA Blames Mozambique for Fuel Shortage

The National Oil Company of Malawi (NOCMA) has attributed the recent fuel shortage in the country to disruptions in Mozambique.

The fuel crisis, which resurfaced late last week, has left motorists struggling to access fuel at filling stations.

Speaking on the matter, NOCMA spokesperson Raymond Likambale explained that the company has been forced to use alternative routes through Tanzania due to challenges in Mozambique, which has contributed to the delays.

However, Likambale assured the public that progress is being made, noting that ten fuel tankers have already arrived in Blantyre. Efforts are underway to address the situation and stabilize fuel availability across the country.
