On Thursday, February 29, 2024, the Northern Region Women’s Association hosted a prize presentation for the Women’s FAM League at Nyachenda Hall in Mzuzu.
Teams, individuals, and the media were honored for their achievements in the recently concluded season. Silveria Chalira, representing the Malawi National Sports Council, praised the excellent administration of the league in the Northern Region among teams, the Association, and the media. She expressed hope that these teams would showcase their beautiful talents at the national level.

Ivy Mwalirwa, the chairperson of the Northern Region Women’s Football Association, was pleased with the behavior of the teams. She hopes that a team from the Northern Region will be crowned champion at the national level.
Head coach of Moyale Barracks Sisters, John Chimwala, described the 2023 season as tough due to the overall skill level of most teams. Chimwala is optimistic that the team will give their best to reach at least the semi-finals in the national league.

In the 2023 season, Moyale Barracks Sisters were crowned champions, Mk Academy secured the runner-up position, Cy Sisters claimed third place, and Ekwendeni Sisters held the fourth position.
