MacGodwin Mangani, the Publicity Secretary of the Volleyball Association Of Malawi,(VAM) has provided an update on the preparations for the 2023 Raiply National Volleyball tournament. Speaking with Avant Sports Desk, he revealed that 16 teams have successfully registered and paid their affiliation fees, while 8 teams are yet to do so. Notably, all 8 teams from the Central Regional have completed their registrations and payments.
The regular registration period concluded on November 1, 2023. Mangani cautioned that any teams registering after this deadline would incur additional costs, including K1000 per player and K5000 per team. He also emphasized that teams would not be allowed to register or pay affiliation fees by hand once the games are in progress.
The Raiply National Volleyball tournament is scheduled to take place in Mzuzu from November 9 to 12 at Katoto Courts and Rosedale Courts. This tournament, generously sponsored by Raiply Malawi Limited with K10 million, will feature the participation of 24 teams.
