PUMA Energy Malawi has made a significant commitment by offering a complete fuel sponsorship to Phantom Group, a move that will facilitate the participation of 14 performers in the upcoming airshow.
This historic airshow is set to unfold at the Old Airport in Lilongwe, marking Malawi’s very first airshow. The event promises a captivating lineup of performances, with contributions from the Malawi Airforce, Conforzi Plantations, and the renowned global icon, Nigel Hopkins. These performers will take to the skies to showcase a dazzling array of aircraft, and the event is set to serve as both an entertaining spectacle and a potential career inspiration for at least 2,000 schoolchildren.
Among these schoolchildren are students from both public and private schools, as well as those from an orphanage. The aim is to not only captivate their imaginations but also kindle a flame of interest in aviation careers.
Yolanda Kaunda, Malawi’s first female air captain and now part of Phantom Aviation, is hopeful that the airshow will ignite a passion for careers in aviation among the attending children. PUMA Energy Malawi shares this aspiration, making their sponsorship an investment in both the event’s success and the future ambitions of the country’s youth.
