As one way of behaviour change and keeping the youths busy Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy on Thursday 27 July 2023 distributed Banana Box Trust (BBT) to different teams around one of its operating area, especially Ekwendeni.
The support went to Eight teams which are; Ekwendeni United FC, Ekwendeni Hardnockers FC, Ekwendeni Girls Football, Ekwendeni Bayern, Ekwendeni Resource Center, Ekwendeni Primary School and Tafika Sports Academy.
The support came from George Watson through Bananabox Trust in United Kingdom (UK) aimed at occupying the youths in Malawi.
The Managing Director of Ekwaiweni Tafika Sports Academy Shupo Kumwenda recommended the support from Bananabox Trust citing that it will help a number of youths to change their behaviours and will make them to be responsible in their respective localities.
George Watson acknowledged local partners in Malawi more especially Tafika God Cares ,Mtende, Williams, Stuart Foundation, Howard Msukwa, James James Kayira, DGMH, Ekwendeni Hospital, Embwangweni Hospital and all public hospital and NGOs
The container number 11 which arrived on Monday from the UK had different items such Educational, Sports and Medical equipments and Clothes.
All these were sourced to guarantee behaviour change amongst the Ekwendeni based youths and across
