Police rescues man from angry mob in Lumbadzi

Police in Lumbadzi last night at around 23:00 hours have rescued Lloyd Lesani, 33 from the jaws of angry villagers who bayed for his blood after being caught red-handed in his workmate’s house enjoying the forbidden fruit.

Members of community policing tipped Lumbadzi Police officers’ night patrol team who rushed to Binala village and rescued Lesani who was found naked in the house where angry people invaded it with the intention to deal with the suspect.

Lesani, who is a security guard at a certain company, is alleged to have been in extra marital affair with the wife of his workmate for the long time up until he has been caught in the bedroom by the owner of the wife who tricked his wife that he had gone for the night duties.

Currently, Lesani who hails from Binala village, Traditional authority Chitukula of Lilongwe is in the custody waiting to be charged.

Meanwhile, Police have urged people to respect the rule of law by avoiding taking laws in their own hands whenever they have apprehended any suspect.
