The big hearted Women of Mangochi immigration womens welfare has donated various items to Mangochi based orphanage Open arms which looks after orphans and vulnerable children in the district.
Presenting the items on friday,23rd June at the orphanage village campus in Mangochi, the guest of honor Madam to the Director general of immigration and citizenship services Bernadette Kalumo said it is necessary to support the organisation because of such selfless sustainable acts they do meet.The organization has said that it has been involved in getting orphaned children through off being dumped,from prostitutes and even from maternal deaths.
“We are aware that the donation cannot resolve all the issues they face, but having toured the facility we noted that there was a fundamental need to at least provide milk,sugar,eggs,squash,soap other items as part of our community service to these children, we believe this will help in creating a more conducive environment for the kids,” said Mrs Kalumo

Supervisor of Open arms orphanage village Fred Mwaliwa thanked Mangochi Immigration womens welfare for the donation of the items saying it will go a long way in making the life of the children better.
“Your donation has brought a relief to us and has also made it possible for us to enhance the health of our children through the feeding program that we have. We are so lucky and grateful for your kindness, compassion and generosity towards Orphans and Vulnerable Children,keep up that spirit” appreciated and complimented Muliwa.
He further added that “as Community Orphan Care we do believe that you and us share a common goal, which is reaching out to the underprivileged. People like you make this place a better place,”.

Among the items that were donated include bales of sugar,trays of donna’s eggs, cartoons of bathing soap, bales of baby pampa and dippers,boxes of washing Powder Soap,cartons of U-fresh soap,25 litres of mnsinjiro and bales of premier Kamba puff.
