Avantmalawi has established that almost all Democratic Progressive Party and United Democratic front law makers have walked out of Parliament.
The development follows a concern from Hon Lilian Patel on National security. The Honorable member tagged the abduction of CDEDI leader Namiwa and the presence of young people in the streets of Lilongwe with Panga knives as a security threat.
This did not go well in the course of deliberations. As government accused the DPP Party on having a set up abduction to accuse government.
However, Hon Yeremiah Chihana followed through requesting government to assure the house of security saying people need to see actual state of security materialize rather than throwing blames.
The house has since gone for a health break with only four Mps from opposition side
Independent MP for Rumphi East firebrand Kamlepo Kalua has dared President Chakwera and his MCP government that he is ready to go back to the streets and die for this country if the trend of impunity and intimidation organized by MCP paramilitary ‘forces’ are to continue their barbaric attacks on innocent Malawians.
Kalua was speaking in parliament today when opposition MPs took to task Minister of Homeland Security Jean Sendeza to explain why police allowed thugs to parade in town with dangerous weapons in democratic country.
“Am ready to go back to the streets to die and liberate this country once again from the jaws of autocracy as I did it before in 1993. And this time it will be bad for MCP. This is just a gentle warning to MCP,” said Kalua before all opposition MPs agreed to move out of parliament.
