I will not be swayed by intimidations— ACB Director

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) director general Martha Chizuma says the Bureau will not be coerced or pressured by any political organization or individuals to determine witch case to be pursued.

Speaking at the ongoing National Anti-Corruption Conference in Blantyre, Chizuma said corruption has been high in Malawi for decades.

She said the conference, therefore, has provided a platform for Malawians to reflect on the fight against corruption and divise new methods.

She however called upon all State partners like the police, Financial Intelligence Authority and Director of Public Prosecutions and Attorney General to work together in curbing the ‘Pandemic’.

“No matter how long it takes, justice will win in this country, truth will win in this country and Malawi will win. Corruption issues are complex, they turn emotional and corruption allegations have divided us as a nation. It has even led to mental bullying,” said Chizuma.

Recently the DPP Kayuni punched her through a leaked document that she has failed to work as team player.
