Unknown thugs have attacked one of the country’s renowned legal practitioner John Gift Mwakhwala and his family early this morning at their Namiwawa Residence in Blantyre.
The thugs broke into his house, tied up all his guards, beat his wife, took her phones and stood outside where they waited for Mwakhwawa to return home.
When Mwakhwawa arrived at his house, he found the gate already opened thinking his guards have opened it.
He was later received by the thugs that beat him up, took his laptop, phones and his car, leaving him injured.
Of late, there has been a spate of thuggery activities within Blantyre, where people are now living in fear.
There was no immediate comment from the Malawi Police Services.
