2 STATE HOUSE EMPLOYEES ARRESTED FOR STEALING AND IMPERSONATING CHAKWERA’S SON

Two State House Employees are in Police Custody for attempting to steal from a Malawian of Asian origin whilst impersonating Nick Chakwera.

A Source from Lilongwe Police reveals that the two only identified as Mhango (Former Bodyguard for Civic Education Minister Timothy Mtambo) and Abel have been going around soliciting money from the Asian Community claiming they have been sent by the State House.

The two approached an Asian of Malawian origin (Name withheld) demanding a sum of 10 Million Malawi Kwacha claiming it’s meant for the activities of the Youth wing of the ruling Malawi Congress Party.

Mhango who was using a number bearing Nick Chakwera’s face claimed he was the First Citizen’s son and Abel was his bodyguard.

The Asian became suspicious and alerted some senior MCP officials who in turn informed the Police.

The two who work as housekeepers at Kamuzu Palace will appear in court tomorrow to be formally charged!
