Female law enforcers under Kawale Police Station on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 wind up a three days operation Basadi in style, as they jived, showcasing their talents while unpacking Gender Based Violence awareness messages .
It all started on Monday, December 6, 2021 whereby female police officers from Kawale indulged themselves in serious road checks and patrols where over 10 traffic offences were detected on this day.
“Basadi”a Sotho name meaning female and is aimed at fighting GBV that are faced by women and this operation is done by female law enforcers.
Kawale Women Network team took advantage of this operation to organise a road show that took them into market places of Area 24, Area 23 and Kawale .
In all these places, residents were urged to stand up and join the fight against GBV towards women in our society.
Security tips and road safety tips were also shared to help residents as an additional to the main menu.
