Newly appointed Football Association of Malawi technical Director Marian Mario Marinica says Flames defenders and goal keepers are all ‘short’.
In his words, the British and Romanian professional, high qualified football coach said height is a contributing factor in football industry, when aiming at success.
Short goal keepers and defenders cannot help the team, these players need replacement, confirmed Technical Director Marinica.
The Flames, had tall goalkeepers like James Mandambwe and tall defenders like Clement Kafwafwa.
Technical Director Marinica holds the UEFA Pro Licence, which is the highest football coaching qualification.
Before the Flames, the 56 year old Marinica worked as the Technical Director of Kerala Blasters Youth Academy.
