The Mzuzu District Football Association (MDFA) held an important meeting on the morning of Friday, 1st August 2025, with representatives from teams set to participate in the upcoming Castel Challenge Cup. The gathering took place at the Luwinga Technical Centre, a well-known venue for football development in Mzuzu. The venue provided an ideal environment for planning the smooth delivery of the district’s most anticipated football competition.
Speaking after the meeting, the General Secretary of the Association, Alphack Mkandawire, announced that the 23 registered teams had been grouped into four clusters. This arrangement is part of the preparations ahead of the official kickoff of the 2025 Castel Challenge Cup.
