Kawale OC urges chiefs to embrace know your neighbor concept as security belt fastener

The Officer In-Charge for Kawale Police Station Mr Davie Chilalire Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) has on August 1, 2025 asked chiefs in Area 24 to consider tightening the security grip through village by-laws and CPF teams formulation.

Mr Davie Chilalire (ACP) was speaking at a meeting in area 24 where over 40 chiefs and local leaders convened.

In his opening remarks, the OC asked chiefs to join police in fastening security belts by among others reporting any suspicious individuals, devising by-laws that will help in creating hell for criminals.

Some of the suggested by-laws includes know your neighbor concept, having an updated data of villagers. Further to that Mr Davie Chilalire advised chiefs to stump out all shabins which he said are used as hide outs of criminals.

In conclusion, the OC warning against political violence during the campaign period and afterwards.

Additionally, Mr Chiutila Subiri, Station Executive Chair (SEC) highlighted the need in joining law enforcers fight against crime through information sharing and CPF teams.

Senior Village Headman Banda hailed the OC, Mr Davie Chilalire for the swift reaction whenever need arises however he asked for increased number of staff at the unit and a police Unit at Msambanjikho Area. He therefore made a vow to join police in the crime free fight.
